Technical Properties
MORTEX® E-3 White powders made from several types of natural hydraulic and air lime, using high-quality clinker, selected silica, and modifying additives.
- Mixing: When mixed with "MORTEX BEALCRYL 2", a flexible, easily workable mortar is obtained.
- Coating: Can be applied with a trowel or brush. Working time – about 25 minutes.
- Properties: Once hardened, it forms a waterproof, resistant, flexible, and strongly adhesive membrane.
- Important: It is essential to use "DISSEL A15" for salt removal between layers.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
- For indoor and outdoor work, above-ground and underground surfaces.
- For the installation of lightweight sealing coatings (cuvelage).
- For coatings of basements, semi-basements, elevator shafts, tanks, foundations, pools, and reservoirs.
ADVANTAGES
- Mineral Composition
- Seamless coating
- Waterproof
- Thin layer (3 mm)
- Resistant and flexible
- Strong adhesion

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
- The substrate must be mineral, clean, matte, free of dust and oils.
- It must be solid, stable, and completely finished shrinking.
- Use reinforcement mesh or separation membranes in moving joints and corners.
- The surface is cleaned with high-pressure water or sandblasting, then vacuumed.
- Cracks larger than 3 mm are repaired with "MORTEX REPAIR CONCRETE."
- Before starting work, thoroughly dampen the substrate, avoiding puddles.
MIX PREPARATION
- Pour 5 l of "BEALCRYL 2" into a clean container.
- Slowly mix (400–600 rpm), adding 2/3 of the powder.
- After adding the remaining 1/3 of the powder, mix until a homogeneous mass without lumps.
- Additives: To slow down curing, RBE3 (1.6–8 ml/kg) can be added, and for liquefaction – FBE3 (2.2–4.4 ml/kg). Do not use both additives together.
- Prohibited: Under no circumstances should the mixture be diluted with water.
USAGE
- The first layer is applied with a semi-hard brush, and then leveled with a trowel.
- Apply layers crosswise.
- With positive water pressure (e.g., inside the tank), apply at least 2 technical layers.
- With light negative pressure – 3 layers.
- One technical layer = 1.5 mm thickness, drying time 8–24 hours.
- Before applying a new layer, clean the surface with undiluted "DISSEL A15" for salt removal.
CLEANING TOOLS
- Wash with water until the coating has hardened.
- Soak hardened tools in water for 30 minutes.
PROTECTION
- Protect the drying surface from rain,
- direct sunlight,
- strong winds, and cold.
SWIMMING POOLS
- The quality of the filling water must be checked (pH, TAC, TH).
- Use only special pool chemicals in the doses specified by the manufacturer.
- Do not allow concentrated chemicals to come into direct contact with the coating.
WORK SAFETY
- Contains cement and lime.
- When mixing, do not inhale dust, wear gloves, and protect your eyes.
- If it comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
