TRAFICOLOR PROTECT is a two-component, water-based varnish (HD-RALXXXX2 + PUR-1020) formulated with high-quality polyurethane copolymers.
It forms an extra-matte, odorless, and highly resistant colored film that is resistant to abrasion, scratches, and heavy traffic, while ensuring a uniform aesthetic finish. Formulated without NMPs and with minimal VOCs, it is suitable for sensitive environments. Available in a wide range of RAL colors to personalize and protect the floors of commercial spaces, public establishments or workshops.
Standards/Conformities: VOC levels compliant with current European regulations (DECOPAINT)
Brilliance: Matte (10 to 15% at a 60° angle)
Apply the product evenly in the direction of the fibers, in small areas of approximately 2 m², without applying too much pressure to the roller in order to obtain sufficiently thick layers.
Check regularly that you are respecting the recommended yield: approximately 1 L for 4 m² of finished parquet (± 1 L/4 m²).
Allow to dry for 4 hours at 13–25 °C and 30–60% humidity before applying the 2nd coat.
After 12 hours of drying, sand with P220 grit, remove all dust, then apply the third coat. It is recommended to use two coats of TRAFICOLOR PROTECT, followed by one coat of PROTECT HD-4008 + PUR-1020.
Check the consumption after the 3rd coat (≈ 260 g/m²). If this coverage is not achieved, apply a 4th coat of PROTECT HD-4008.
