| Substrate moisture | < 3 % |
| Drying time (at 20°C) | Does not leave marks upon contact: from 30 min. to 1 hour. Drying between layers: +/- 5 hours. Complete drying: 72 hours. |
SUBSTRATE AND ITS PREPARATION
The substrate must be solid, dry, clean, dust-free, and grease-free. It must be hard, not flaking from frost, and not crumbling.
After polishing, clean the substrate with clean water, scrub with a medium-hard bristle brush. Rinse the substrate thoroughly, dry it, and allow it to dry.
It is recommended to apply the product on an area of 1–2 m² to check the impregnation result, evaluate the appearance (shade darkening), and determine the required amount of product.
MIX PREPARATION
Shake well before use. Maintain the uniformity of the mixture throughout the work.
COATING
Apply REPELOIL with a brush or flat microfiber mop attached to a handle or machine. A vacuum sprayer can also be used with low pressure (max. 1 bar) and at a distance of 5–10 cm from the nozzle (precaution: check the hose's resistance and tightness to solvents). In this case, REPELOIL is applied in 40–50 cm strips. For vertical surfaces, work in horizontal strips, always starting from the bottom. Apply REPELOIL in one go until saturated and leave it to act for about 10–15 minutes. Wipe off any excess with a cloth to ensure no product remains on the surface, and allow to dry until a matte effect is achieved. Repeat the process at least a second time after about 5 hours. If porosity requires it, repeat as many times as necessary.
If the application is done improperly (resulting in reduced effectiveness or uneven coverage), it can be reapplied. The water and oil resistance effect appears after a few minutes, and full effectiveness is achieved after 3–4 days.
Once REPELOIL has dried, perform the first cleaning with water-diluted FINISH SA TR.
Once REPELOIL has dried (only indoors), apply a protective layer of BEALWAX to ensure more effective protection and water droplet repellent effect.
POLISHING
To prevent stains or a haze on polished surfaces, they need to be repolished (using a pad, very soft cloth, or sheepskin).
If using BEALWAX, once fully dried, polishing with a sheepskin-type disc will give a satin appearance and better distribute the product on the surface.
CLEANING OTHER TOOLS
Fresh product is cleaned with lukewarm or hot soapy water.
MAINTENANCE
For surfaces treated with the oil-repellent impregnating agent REPELOIL, maintenance is required without using aggressive (corrosive) substances.
For cleanliness maintenance: water-diluted FINISH SA TR.
For lime removal (also for faucets): water-diluted vinegar. Start with a low concentration and increase it depending on water hardness (from 20% vinegar / 80% water to max. 50% vinegar / 50% water).
For renewing protection: a new layer of REPELOIL is applied with a cloth.
WARNINGS
- Work areas must be protected from rain, sun, wind, and cold until completely dry.
- It is strictly not recommended to apply on substrates containing salts (sodium sulfate, nitrates, calcium...).
- Good ventilation is essential during and after application, and when used in the food industry – for about 2–3 days.
- Excess product causes the appearance of haze and stains.
- When stored at temperatures below 15°C, the product tends to thicken; when stored at approximately 20°C, it becomes completely liquid and homogeneous.
- Treated surfaces must be protected from direct sunlight.
- It is necessary to protect surrounding work area locations.
TIPS
- Strictly follow application protocols according to the product's purpose. Never use other products than those specified in this technical data sheet to avoid any risk of damage.
- For the same object and the same product type, always use products with the same batch number.
- Always perform tests with the chosen protection, as each pigment and each protection reacts differently.
ENVIRONMENT
Dispose of at a specialized waste collection center.
SAFETY
Wear appropriate goggles, gloves, and a mask. If sprayed: do not inhale vapors (protective mask). It is recommended to protect hands when applying. Under normal usage conditions, the hardened product is not harmful. If swallowed, consult a specialist.
