Technical properties
White powders of several types of natural hydraulic and air lime, different high-quality clinkers, special additives, and impurities.
When mixed with the product MORTEX® BEALCRYL 2, a plastic, easily applied mortar is obtained, which can be used for about 20 minutes. The mortar mixed with MORTEX® BEALCRYL 2, hardens and forms a non-stressed waterproof mass, practically reducing crack formation to 0.

SUBSTRATE AND PREPARATION
The substrate must be solid, dry before and after coating, clean, matte, dust-free, and non-greasy. It must be hard, not frozen, and not crumbling.
MORTEX® COLOR 2-N product adheres to many substrates:
- Mineral substrates: mortars, leveling layers, concrete, masonry plaster, cement plasters, brushed tiles, etc.
- Reconstituted wood or moisture-resistant particle board substrates (e.g., MDF).
- Polystyrene or polyurethane boards, covered with reinforced cement plaster, or fiber cement boards.
- Gypsum, standard or moisture-resistant drywall.
- Tests have also been successfully conducted on glass and metal.
COATING RECOMMENDATIONS AND MIX PREPARATION
When the substrate consists of different types of materials that are unstable and/or have joints (e.g., tiles), measures must be taken to prevent movement:
- Reinforcement mesh or reinforced textile mat at the joints.
- Reinforcement mesh, inserted into the first technical layer.
- Special mat for mortar and textile adhesion in corners.
- Separating layers (membranes) across the entire surface.
To equalize absorption, start by applying undiluted primer RESIDUR on the substrate. On glass, glossy tiles, and smooth surfaces, after roughening, use primer RESIPACT G. Once the primer has dried (about 6–8 hours), begin applying MORTEX® COLOR 2-N. If a MORTEX® product has already been applied to the substrate, do not apply primer.
MIX PREPARATION
- Mix 25 kg of MORTEX® COLOR 2-N product with 5 l of MORTEX® BEALCRYL 2 product.
- Pour 5 l of MORTEX® BEALCRYL 2 into a clean container and slowly add 2/3 of the powder. Mix at a slow speed (400–600 rpm) with a mixer, gradually adding the remaining 1/3 of the powder until you achieve a homogeneous mixture without lumps.
- For coloring, use only pigments from the BEAL COLOR range. Always assess the pigment's impact on the liquid requirement (add an additional ½ to ¾ of the pigment volume corresponding to the amount of MORTEX® BEALCRYL 2).
- To extend the setting time (up to 3 hours at 20°C), mix in additive RBE3 (1.6–8 ml/kg). To liquefy, add additive FBE3 (2.2–4.4 ml/kg). Never use these two additives in the same mixture.
COATING
Always use RESIDUR, except in cases where there is a risk of moisture in the substrate. MORTEX® COLOR 2-N is always applied in two technical layers using a trowel. Never finish a layer in a corner – use the "stair" technique overlapping onto adjacent walls or floors. Finer granulation MORTEX® COLOR 2-F products can be used for decorative finishing.
SYSTEM TABLES
Definitions:
- Technical layer = vienas MORTEX® COLOR 2-N sluoksnis, kurio storis yra tarp 1 mm ir 1,5 mm, o džiūvimo laikas – ne mažiau kaip 8 val. ir ne daugiau kaip 24 val.
- “A secco” (dry) = applying subsequent coats with an intermediate drying time of 8 to 24 hours between each coat.
- "A fresco" (wet-on-wet) = applying a new layer of finish or putty over the first layer, which is just beginning to set.

POLISHING
After 48 hours of drying, the dry surface can be polished using 100–150 grit sandpaper. Attention: Never damage the base technical layer.
PROTECTIVE MEASURES
The protective agent can be applied 48 hours (at 20°C) after the last layer application. Choose the agent according to the purpose of the object:
- Public floors: POLYTHANE N120, POLYTHANE N120 + BEALWAX.
- Private floors: POLYTHANE N120 (+BEALWAX), OIL OH (TR) (+BEALWAX), BIPUR (+BEALWAX).
- Stairs: POLYTHANE N120, OIL OH (TR), BIPUR.
- Bathroom / Water area: POLYTHANE N120, FINISH SA (TR) (for walls only), OIL OH (TR) + BEALWAX, BIPUR (+BEALWAX).
- Countertops with water: POLYTHANE N120, OIL OH (TR) + BEALWAX, BIPUR (+BEALWAX).
- Decorative: All protective agents are suitable (including REPELOIL, BEALWAX).
- Terraces / Facades: REPELOIL.
TOOL CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Cleaning: With water, until it hardens. Soak hardening tools in water for 30 minutes.
- Maintenance (without protection): Do not use corrosive agents.
- To maintain cleanliness: FINISH SA TR diluted in water.
- For lime removal: Vinegar diluted in water (start with a low concentration).
WARNINGS
- Work areas must be protected from rain, sun, wind, and cold until completely dry. Condensate formed in enclosed spaces must be ventilated. It is not recommended to use moisture collectors for the first 28 days. It is not recommended to apply on substrates containing salts (sodium sulfate, nitrates, calcium, etc.). Do not mix MORTEX® COLOR 2-N with water.
- The preparation of pool water is the client's responsibility. Preliminary analysis of water from wells and springs is necessary (pH, TAC, TH, sulfates, ammonia). Use only special pool maintenance products, do not pour concentrated chemicals directly onto the surface.
TIPS AND SAFETY
It is recommended to attend training organized by BEAL. Use products from the same batch number for one object.
- Safety: Contains lime, cement, silicates. Avoid inhaling dust. Wear gloves, protect your eyes. In case of contact with skin/eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.
